About Me

With 20 years of diverse clinical experience, I have dedicated my career to advancing patient care across emergency medicine, intensive care, hospice and palliative care, urgent care, and occupational health. The majority of my practice has been in the inpatient setting, and I currently serve as a full-time hospitalist nurse practitioner in a suburban hospital while also leading Essential Infusions Plus.

Beyond clinical practice, I am actively involved in medical education, serving as faculty for three universities, where I teach and mentor both nursing and nurse practitioner students. My background also includes legal consulting and clinical guideline development, reinforcing my commitment to evidence-based practice and professional advocacy.

Originally from Rochelle, Illinois, my journey in healthcare was profoundly shaped by my four years as a missionary in Mexico, where I developed a deep appreciation for community-based care and holistic health approaches. During the COVID-19 pandemic, like many in our profession, I found myself questioning the limitations of conventional medicine. This led me to functional and integrative medicine—an evidence-driven, patient-centered approach that addresses root causes rather than symptoms.

Recognizing the gap in accessible functional medicine services in my community, I founded Essential Infusions Plus to provide innovative, personalized healthcare solutions. My team and I are committed to expanding access to integrative therapies that empower patients to take an active role in their health and longevity.

Through a combination of clinical expertise, academic achievements, and a passion for transformative care, I aim to bridge the gap between conventional and functional medicine—offering healthcare professionals and patients alike a more comprehensive approach to well-being.

Angie met with me today to review some recent bloodwork and discuss some additional options. She is well informed and knowledgeable and very willing to encourage questions. I have been to 4 such clinics, and Essential Infusions Plus in Rochelle is clearly the best. I highly recommend Angie and staff to help you achieve the best version of yourself. 5-stars! 8/21/25 I had another opportunity to visit Essential Infusions. I met with Beth, and was totally satisfied with the service she provided. Thankful for this business! I have gotten several IVs from them, and when they opened, they were the only ones in the area doing these cutting edge holistic remedies. Angie is super nice and knowledgeable, and makes you feel right at home, and so are the nurses. If you’re like me and normal healthcare has failed you, or maybe you just want to naturally gain energy, lose weight, or look/feel better, essential infusions can probably help you. They are also the only place in an hour and a half radius that I’m aware of who offer ozone therapy. So thankful for that, and excited to try it myself soon.

I get B12 shots weekly and its so easy and fast to get in and out with these ladies, I usually go right after work on Friday but this week I went during my lunch break. Tamara was ready for me and I was in and out in less than 2 minutes. I love how easy it is to get services here and how much better I feel .
