About Me
About MeMy name is Deb Bush, and I have spent more than three decades caring for people across every stage of life. I have been a Registered Nurse for 33 years and a Family Nurse Practitioner for 13 years, with experience spanning prenatal care, acute illness, chronic disease, and end-of-life support. From the beginning of my career, I have believed that patients deserve to be cared for as if they were family—with compassion, clarity, and respect.I began my NP practice in acute care, treating everything from routine illnesses to complex, life-threatening conditions such as atrial fibrillation, stroke, advanced diabetes, and cancer. I cared for patients who were thriving and those dependent on oxygen, taught nutrition and stress management, and provided clinic-based therapies including ketamine and targeted vitamin infusions. These experiences gave me a deep appreciation for conventional medicine—and a clear understanding of its limitations. That understanding led me to functional medicine. I believe food has always been, and will always be, medicine. By addressing gut health, hormones, metabolism, and stress as interconnected systems, we can move beyond symptom management and support healing at the cellular level. My approach blends conventional medical training, functional medicine, and evidence-based science to help patients understand why their symptoms exist and how to restore balance with intention and strategy.Outside of practice, I have been married since 1998 and am the proud mother of two adult children. My son studies Forensic Science at the University of Tennessee, and my daughter is a newly licensed Registered Nurse working in the Emergency Department. Family, learning, and service continue to shape both my life and my work.
