About Me

I discovered my calling in functional medicine through my own quest for answers. Despite doing all the "right" things—eating well, exercising, and following conventional health advice—I found myself struggling with persistent fatigue, brain fog, and a general sense of not feeling like myself. Like many of my patients today, I knew something wasn't right, but couldn't pinpoint the root cause.

This personal health journey, combined with navigating my daughter's challenges with PANS, anxiety, and eczema, transformed both my understanding of health and my approach to medicine. Watching my daughter's journey and finding solutions beyond traditional treatments opened my eyes to the powerful intersection of conventional and functional medicine.

As a certified functional medicine provider and chiropractor, I now specialize in helping women who find themselves where I once was—doing everything "right" but still not feeling their best. My practice focuses on women's health, hormone optimization, and supporting children through complex health challenges. I combine my clinical expertise with a deep understanding of how overwhelming and frustrating it can feel when your body isn't responding the way you expect.

What sets my approach apart is the understanding that every symptom tells a story, and every patient's journey is unique. I've been seeing Dr. Black and Maverick for 2 years and I enjoy the service and care that they put into their work. Very consistent and I always get a laugh/easy convo from everyone in the office. They've supported my physical wellness in the best ways possible and I always feel 10x better after their adjustments. I highly recommend!!

I have been to many chiropractors in my life and can count on one hand how many were actually very good. My family started going here while I was at another one and I transitioned over and Dr. Black is the best! He takes care of us and our kids so well. My 8 year old used to tense up when getting adjusted but he helped her feel relaxed and comfortable. An amazing benefit is that because he takes care of our whole family, our kids under 10 are free, that was such a pleasant surprise. If you are looking for a chiropractor you can trust that will take good care of you, you must go here!

I spent most of my life skeptical of chiropractic treatment. Until recently, desperation forced my hand and I tried it for the first time. I’m around five or six sessions in and shocked at how effective it’s been for me. FFC&WC is a family run business with delightful folks. I have no other experience upon which to base an opinion, but suspect no two chiropractors are the same and I’m pleased with where I landed. Dr Black has makes every effort to explain and even had me visit a hospital for x-rays in order to take a more informed approach; something I suspect many wouldn’t bother with. I’m a convert and happy to recommend this practice without reservation.

Dr Black is awesome. Great neighborhood spot. The massage service is fire, very therapeutic. They fixed my knees... really, so I can Sprint and do leg day like a boss!

Okay, just a word to the wise AND the unwise for that matter.... just don't take our word for it! Go and see for yourself! Doctor Black is the BEST chiropractor around. He is honest, caring, reasonably priced, accepts insurance, has a great sense of humor, and is an all around nice person. I had my doubts about chiropractors in general, but after seeing Dr Black, he has changed my mind. Many of his patients who now live in other states, come to him when they're back in town. Just the best!
