About Me

With over 25 years of experience in healthcare, I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of settings, from gastroenterology to hospice care, and even academia. I began my career with an Associate’s degree in nursing and have since earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and become a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand the limitations of traditional medicine, which often focuses on managing symptoms instead of identifying and treating the root cause of health issues. That frustration is what led me to specialize in functional medicine.

I believe in a personalized approach to healthcare that blends functional and traditional medicine. What sets me apart is my focus on finding solutions that not only relieve symptoms but address the underlying causes—all while being mindful of your resources and providing care in a fiscally responsible way.

I primarily work with women between the ages of 40 and 55 who are dealing with gut or metabolic issues. My own health journey has played a big role in shaping how I approach my practice. I spent years frustrated by unexplained weight gain, bloating, and low energy, despite doing everything “right” with diet and exercise. It wasn’t until I ran advanced tests on my gut that I found the imbalances that were holding me back. As I began addressing those issues, I saw significant improvements in my health, energy, and well-being. Now, I’m passionate about helping others uncover those same hidden issues and regain control of their health.

I’ve been honored to receive recognition throughout my career, including being named one of the 100 Great Nurses of Oklahoma and receiving the Excellence in Nursing Education Award from the Oklahoma Nurses Association. As an Associate Professor in a nurse practitioner program, I also enjoy helping shape the next generation of healthcare providers.

My practice is built on the values of honesty, integrity, and authenticity. I want to empower my patients to take charge of their health by offering them real solutions that lead to long-term wellness. As a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, I stay up to date on the latest advancements in both traditional and functional medicine through regular trainings and continuing education.

If you’re ready to explore what’s truly going on with your health, I’d love to help. I offer complimentary curiosity consultations, whether it’s a lab review or a one-on-one call, where we can discuss your unique situation and look at possible solutions that go beyond what’s typically offered in traditional medicine. I’ve been in your shoes, and I’m here to support you in finding the answers you’ve been searching for.
