About Me
For nearly three decades, I've worked in healthcare, and for most of that time, I did what I was trained to do: diagnose symptoms, prescribe treatments, and move on to the next patient. I was good at it. But somewhere along the way, I started asking a question that conventional medicine rarely has time for: Why is this happening in the first place? That question changed everything. My own health journey became the turning point. At 37, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. I got through treatment, and by every conventional measure, I was doing fine. My labs were "normal." But normal didn't describe how I felt. For years, I lived with crushing fatigue, brain fog that made simple tasks feel monumental, insomnia that left me exhausted no matter how much I rested, and a memory that I barely recognized as my own. I had low energy, low answers, and a medical system that kept pointing to my labs and shrugging. I knew something was wrong. I just couldn't find anyone willing to dig deep enough to find it.So...I went looking myself, and I found functional medicine. What I discovered was a framework that finally made sense: one that looks at the whole person, investigates root causes, and treats the body as the interconnected system it actually is. I dove deep into advanced training, and I never looked back.Today, I bring nearly 30 years of clinical experience, including more than two decades as a nurse practitioner, to my virtual practice, Wellness Continuum. I am a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (FAANP), a distinction awarded to NPs who have demonstrated an exceptional and sustained commitment to the profession, advanced practice, and patient care. It's a credential I'm proud of, and one that reflects the standard I hold myself to every single day in practice.I work primarily with women between the ages of 40 and 65 who are tired of being told their labs are "fine" when they feel anything but. My patients often come to me struggling with persistent fatigue, hormonal imbalances, thyroid dysfunction, gut issues, cognitive sluggishness, and the creeping sense that something is just off, even when no one can seem to find it. As a thyroid cancer survivor who spent years living in that gap between "normal" labs and feeling anything but, I have a particular passion for supporting patients navigating thyroid health; whether that's optimization after thyroidectomy, lingering symptoms that never quite resolved, or simply feeling like their thyroid has never worked the way it should. At Wellness Continuum, I don't chase symptoms; I investigate. Using comprehensive lab work, an in-depth health history, and a genuine partnership with you, we build a personalized plan that addresses what's actually driving your symptoms. It could be inflammation, nutrient deficiencies, gut dysbiosis, hormonal shifts, or
