About Me

About Dr. Dahlia Moscardini, MD

I became a physician because I wanted to understand people - not just their symptoms.

After more than fifteen years in medicine, including training at the University of the West Indies and clinical work as a pediatrician, I've learned that the most important questions are rarely the ones on a standard intake form. The patterns matter. The full history matters. The whole person matters.

Early in my career, I had the privilege of coordinating HIV treatment programs across Nigeria and Zambia. That work, navigating complex systems, identifying root causes, and following outcomes over time, shaped how I think about health to this day. I became less interested in managing conditions and more committed to understanding what was actually driving them, and what it would genuinely take to restore someone's wellbeing.

I now practice functional medicine through Touchstone Foundational Health, a telehealth practice created for women in midlife who are navigating symptoms that conventional medicine often dismisses, minimizes, or attributes simply to aging. These are women who are exhausted in ways that rest doesn't fix. Who are experiencing hormonal changes that feel far more disorienting than anyone prepared them for. Whose sleep no longer restores them. Who carry a quiet but persistent sense that something is off — even when their labs come back "normal."

I hear this often: "I've been told everything looks fine, but I don't feel fine."

That gap, between what the standard tests show and what a woman is actually experiencing, is exactly where I do my most meaningful work.

My approach is root-cause and pattern-based. I take the time to look at the full picture: hormone and metabolic health, stress physiology, gut function, sleep, nutrient status, and the complex ways these systems speak to and affect one another. I work with advanced functional lab testing and build personalized, long-term care plans - not quick fixes.

This is not rushed medicine. It is care that connects the dots.

If you are a thoughtful woman who is ready to be genuinely heard, and finally ready to understand what your body has been trying to tell you, I would be honored to work with you.
